Join the Curtin Writers Club!

Looking to make friends through writing? Or maybe you're looking to be published? Membership benefits include the opportunity to publish your writing in our annual literary print publication Coze Journal, performance opportunities at our poetry slams and other events and access to our member-exclusive Facebook group and Discord server where we share local writing events and publishing opportunities. The club is not-for-profit so all money goes toward catering, venue hire and printing costs.

Membership is open to anyone and costs $5 or one Curtin Student Guild club voucher for Curtin University students, and $5.50 to non-Guild members. Please note there is a surcharge added for online memberships.

• Curtin Students: In addition to being invited to all of our events, you can have have your say on how the club is run by voting at General Meetings and nominate for vacant positions on the committee.
  • Pay online: $5.50 (includes online booking fee). You'll immediately become a member.
  • Pay in person: $5. Want to pay using cash, a Guild club voucher or EFTPOS/ Pay-pass? Complete the EOI and pay $0 upfront now - your membership will be "pending" until payment is made. We'll meet you in person to collect payment and confirm your membership.
• Non-Curtin Students: $6 (includes online booking fee) to join as an associate member. This is for anyone who is not a Curtin student. Are you from another uni? Staff? Curtin College Students? Or just want to join? You can enjoy the benefits of being a member of our club, attending our outings, but you are not able to vote nor sit on committee. (But that's okay - you'll still have a blast!)

What's a club voucher and where do I get one? 
Curtin-enrolled students can collect 2x $5 club vouchers from the Curtin Student Guild each year. To collect, visit a Guild membership booth during O-Week, or Guild Reception year-round (Building 106F, Bentley campus), with a copy of your Curtin Student ID.
